Supporting long-term sports outreach co-ordinators is an integral part of our overseas mission strategy. By 2010 we aim to support 10 long-term sports outreach workers in Southern Africa. We are currently supporting workers in Botswana and Uganda.
Workers focus on developing indigenous leaders; part of this process involves working shoulder to shoulder with them and directly with the children in their care, workers are involved with teaching, coaching and mentoring.
We provide workers with structure, direction and emotional, spiritual and financial support. Target setting and output evaluations are integral to long-term workers.
We are looking for people with previous travel and service experience, who are at least 21 years, who have experience or qualifications in sport or children’s or young people’s Christian ministry and who are willing to serve in a developing country for at least 12 months. As a first step in applying for this role, please complete our online application form.
